New Pattern: The Hannah Flower

The Hannah Flower pattern is a new, no-sew tutorial from Birdsong Patterns, complete with computer-drawn pattern pieces and simple step-by-step instructions. Learn how to make a no-fray, dimensional fabric flower out of cottons or silks without burning fabric or using messy candles! I'll show you a simple millinery technique that will allow your flower to hold its shape.

I have enjoyed making many of these flowers, and you will, too! The PDF pattern can be purchased on Birdsong Etsy or the Birdsong Patterns website. Enjoy!

Entries for the "Let's Go to the Movies" challenge

Thanks to the 6 women who sent photos for our fourth challenge! The theme of this challenge is "Let's Go the Movies," and I asked participants to send a photo of a bow, hair flower, or other hair accessory that reminds them of either a specific movie OR of the experience of going to the movies!

There will be two awards! The first winner will be chosen by Random.org. The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate from The Ribbon Retreat.

But there's another prize! The second way to win is to have your friends, family, Facebook friends, etc., vote for you! There's a poll in the upper right corner of my blog (in the sidebar). Voting will continue until 10 a.m. Eastern time on Friday, Sept. 16. The winner will receive her choice of a free tutorial from Birdsong Bows! :)

Enjoy the entries! And thanks again for participating. I will post the winner here on either Aug. Sept. 16 or 17! Please check back here and on the Birdsong Facebook page for an announcement of the winners.
